I started with the Free Style (TM) Bucket Card template
(GreenSneakers), and cut the card from Natural, Paper Passport,
(Provo Craft). Using two shades of the weave patterned paper
from the Crafter's Block (Provo Craft), I cut one inch strips, and
wove them together one shade starting vertically, and the other
horizontally. Using my card as a template, I traced the shape of the
card onto the woven design and cut it out. I then Xyroned the
whole woven front and adhered it to the front of the Bucket Card.
For the Apples, I simply used the Sizzix Apple Die and cut out 10
apples from red patterned paper. Since my paper was white on the
backside, I cut 5 apples with the white showing up and 5 with the
red showing up. This will make 5 finished paperclips. It's hard to
see this from the photo (scan down to see the photos)- but these
apples are sitting on the top of card, and are removable and can be
used as book marks or pocket toppers. I ran a small bead of glue
on the white side of an apple ONLY AT THE TOP CURVE AND STEM.
Then I adhered, white sides together, another apple to the first,
matching up the edges. It looks like a two-sided die cut from the
photo, but once the glue sets, the apple has a slot in the bottom
where the two layers are not connected and you can 'sit' the die
cut on the card's edge. For the green stem, I simply used a green
metallic marker to color over the red paper. And using a clear or
red marker you can highlight the right upper side of the apple to
give it the traditional "apple" look.
For the Apple Harvest Tag, I created the Apple Harvest text box on
the computer and printed it out, and then put it in the Making
Memories Tag Maker and framed it. You can use any tag, and
design it any way you wish. I used a Pop Dot to adhere the tag to
the front of the card.
For the inside of the card, I used a 3" x 3 1/2" piece of sage
cardstock, and punched the corner slots in the four corners using
the EK Success, Cardcreator Punch - Venetian. I then cut my
vellum quote down to 2 1/2" x 3", and inserted the edges into the
corner slots.
The envelope and liner templates come with the FreeStyle (TM)
Bucket template kit, so using a coordinating paper, I made up the
coordinating envelope. To finish the card, I set the apples on the
cards' top edge - 3 on the front edge, 2 on the back flap.
