Chalking is ideal for coloring in stamped images. It gives a soft, even
finish, that adds an ethereal look to your art. Some people use a stiff
bristled paint brush to apply the color. Others like the look of a cotton
puff, rubbed in the color, and then buff the color into the paper. All will
give you that soft color. I like the chalk pencils for fine detail, and then
softly wipe with a clean cotton puff, to even out the color.
They make a chalk eraser - which works. Funny that a regular eraser
just smudges the chalk more - but the chalk eraser does the job!
Chalking is also a great technique for aging the edges of paper. It can
give you that touch of color around the outside on tags or mats.
