The New Uses for Sequins
How cool do these look?  The idea is, of course, ancient, and sequins
have been used in sewing and embroidery for a very long time.  These
are plastic - but the metal ones are inexpensive (sometimes sold as
'confetti').  They are easy to glue on or you can use the time old
tradition of taking a needle and thread - run the needle up through the
paper - put on the sequin, and put the needle through a bead, then
back through the sequin and the paper.  The bead will hold the sequin
in place.  Knot off the thread on the back side - done!

If you're gluing them on - I tend to decorate the middle with either a
spot of metallic glitter glue or a small sparkle gem.
