I like pencils. Okay - you see
that. I like colored pencils, and
watercolor pencils. Then they
invented chalk pencils, and
water-solvable chalk pencils.
I still want to see the real
differences in colored pencils.
Some cost almost nothing,
and others are an arm and a
leg. What exactly is the
difference? The only real
quality difference I see
between them is that the
Crayola has a waxy (crayon)
look. The rest are pretty
similar.
Watercolor pencils are so cool. You color with them like
colored pencils, but then you can come over them with a
wet paint brush and blend the colors in a wash. It can give
some really nice effects. Yes, those are my Sharpies, not
stored on their sides, and my metallic markers worked
better this way, too. These are my non-acid-free collection,
and I keep them separate from my others. I know - it's a
mess - but it's all close at hand, and labelled - 2 things I have
to have!
Storage - Pencils and Pens
For my birthday, my mom built me this pen rack! I love it. What I
was using was overcrowded and not working. This is organized,
easy to reach, and everything is categorized by type. When I need
a metallic marker - I know where to reach, or a gel pen, etc. No
more hunting around. In fact, there seems to be extra room -
maybe I should buy some more pens!
