I had given a lot of thought
to the storage of my
stamps.  One, because I
really like them, and two,
because I think if I store
them well, I can keep them
forever.  I don't have any
evidence on this, it is my
theory, but the only part of
the stamp that needs to
work is the rubber part, and
the only way it will age is
if it's stored badly.  If the
wood edges from another
stamp are digging into
the rubber, or if they are
stacked to tightly together
or too high - and the bottom
one is getting pressed, then some may be getting damaged.

So, I came up with the theory that if they are stored on their
sides, with no pressure from another stamp on them - they
might last my lifetime!  At least that's my goal.  So this is
how I store them.  I, also, have plastic shoe boxes with
them, and the boxes are stacked, but the stamps inside the
boxes are not.
