| Here's a sample of what the Mustek 12" x 17" scanner can do. It does really scan at 11.7" x 17 - so a fraction of your layout is left out - I haven't really been able to notice the difference. Many of the complaints against it was that the scan is not vivid. I see that when I scan - (see the Before picture). But, before I considered taking it back - I pulled up the scanned image in my photo software (I have Dell Image Expert- premium edition - but I believe my PhotoShop Elements 4.0 would do the trick, too) and hit "quickfix". It only took a second and the After picture was everything I could hope for. The image is still a pretty big file - so it must have some pixels in it (it scans at 600 dpi). It presently sits at 2393 x 2332 or 15.9MB. |
