Here’s my rendition of a “Purse Card”. It is a “FreeStyle(TM) Paralellogram” card and envelope, but I created the card upside down, and put on the handles. The Tag was created using the Perfect Tag and Punches Technique - see how the shopping girl fits the tag perfectly? I could never have created that just by luck or by trial and error (printing out different sizes and hoping they fit the tag). When you use the technique – you see the exact sized clipart exactly as you want it. I also created the background color for her to match the card. Everything just works better when you can design the elements yourself!
My Scrapping Plans for the Day? We’re off to Six Flags. Yes, I do consider that ‘scrapping’ – because living and loving and spending time together is the focus of my personal scrapping. The more of these great ‘Family Days” we have – the more I have to scrap! My son just turned 18, and the writing is on the wall – my babies won’t be babies forever. And there won’t be as many “Family Days”. I need to go and make the most of, and enjoy to the utmost, every second of our excursion – that’s my scrapping plans for the day!

I’ve joined “Digg.com”. They let you post things you find interesting on the web, and then people vote on whether they “dugg” it. It sounds like fun. I’ve given it a try. If you enjoyed this article, please join in on the fun and say you “dugg” it!

I love creating Christmas cards. And I really love working with tools and discovering new uses. I used a “fold Over” punch and create this 3D tree. There’s a candle inside the card to light up the inside so you could see the 3D effect – I remember having to take the picture REALLY quickly before I set the house on fire!!
And because I can’t bear to design and make new cards only to put them in store bought envelopes – I always make the coordinating envelopes, too.

The Blog Challenge of the Day: Was would I like to do at retreat or a scrapbook club. And the answer is what inspired the first part of this post. I wish I had a solid block of time to just work on Christmas Cards. I have so many to make, and with something pulling me away every five minutes – I’m worried that December is going to roll around way too quickly! –It usually does.
But, I will try my best to stay on task and get them done – if not – I guess I’ll go sign up for a retreat!!

I am so happy. I hope this will work out. It certainly has to be better than that nightmare with Google Ads. Remember the “pens for human skin”? Yuck! There were no real controls over the ads that went on the site. But ever since then I’ve been wondering if I could contact companies that I actually use and see if they would be interested in working with me as affiliates. Sure enough, that’s just what has happened! I’ve contacted and applied to a few select companies, and you will see their banners up on the home page and throughout on various relevant pages.
For example, the new article featuring Print Shop will have a Broderbund banner. I’ve been using Print Shop for over 20 years! I think I could write their user manual, I’m so familiar with the program LOL. So I am happy to be welcoming them in. There are some other favorites of mine – people who know me know that I’m a regular with JoAnn’s Free Shipping Club – really I should buy stock. And whenever I can’t find something new that I’m looking for – I find it at Create For Less. I’ve shopped with Dick Blick for my fine art supplies, and those real postage stamps made from your own photos are too cool! Buy.com sells everything, but I’ve used them for my computer supplies and paper crafting books.
We’re growing. The more people we bring in the more we can offer. I’ve had a product and development meeting with our staff today, and I can guarantee you’ll like the projects on the table. We’ll be working hard towards and through the Holidays. I hope you’ll check back and see the new things going up.

Ever wonder how to get your text boxes and photos perfectly printed so they fit inside your punches? What about perfectly created tags to fit inside the templates for the MM (TM) Tag Maker? The punches you see pictured were all digitally designed to fit the punches before they were printed. Our article on how to do this has just been posted!
Technique Articles
You’ll be able to create personalized cardstock stickers and more!
The blog challenge for today asks what do I miss from my childhood? Actually, I’m in a good place now, where I am focussing on creating a better childhood for my children. I don’t really miss anything from that which came before, but rather find myself missing my son when he was small (he just turned 18). I look at those wonderful pictures of him in Little League, and although I know it is good and right that he should grow up, I miss him, and I miss those days of when he was young. Not that he isn’t wonderful now, an honor roll student, and college bound, but my days of being Mom with little kids is nearing an end – and I know I will miss that more than I can bear thinking about. I guess that’s another reason why we scrapbook!!

I got the opportunity to teach this class at Scrapbooks N More in Frederick, MD. I had a great time teaching. I hope the class participants enjoyed it. It’s really a “techniques class” on how to use the template not only for the original purpose of a circle card and a square envelope, but also for a multi page card and a round mini album. We used Daisy Ds (teal papers) new Autumn Collection papers – really pretty. That’s the real emphasis of the class – once you know how to create these projects you can go on to use any paper to create any theme/type. This project done up for Halloween or Christmas would be perfect, not to mention birthdays and Mother’s Day! It also works perfectly as a birth announcement.
But I see by my lack of postings that the summer really got away with me. I can’t begin to tell you how busy we all were. I guess the biggest thing is that we finally finished the art studio. We also built on a living room, small kitchen area, dining or games table room, full bath, and a weight workout room. But with it finished, I can finally start getting back to work.
Linda and I are putting our noses to the grindstone making up new Halloween Cards for the Boutique. We’re creating sets of cards, and I think our customers will find it less expensive and more personal to send these cards then say buying cards at the Mall stores. That’s our goal. We’ve set a deadline of the 15th to have them up on the site and ready for sale in the Crafts Boutique.
