Here’s a set of Christmas Cards from my Etsy Store.
The Blog Challenge is asking what my earliest memory is, and why have I retained it. I have a very clear memory of a baby in a crib sleeping in my room. The little one wakes up, and I get up to comfort him before Mom comes in to get him. The memory is so clear I know it was real – but my brother was born when I was 2 – so I must have been real young. I haven’t a clue why I retain this memory. I do know, though, that my ‘nuturing’ instincts remained a very integral part of my personality, and today – it basically defines who I am!

Here’s another card I made for the Green Sneakers Blog.
The blog challenge question is ‘what does creativity mean to me’. Not an easy topic. For me, I don’t see creativity being about the creating – but instead it’s about the designing. When I create an ornament from a pattern – following the directions exactly – I know I’m crafting, but I don’t find it particularly ‘creative’. Now, when I sketch out my own card design, I choose the techniques to be used, the theme, the color palette, etc – that feels more like using my own creativity.

I just finished my 31 Days of Card Making for the World Card Making Day Challenge. It certainly was challenging…. I made and posted a new card every day for 31 days. The cards are now in the Gallery.
I’m heading out to ScrapBowl 2008 in February, so I do think about what classes I would like to take. I also teach, so I’m always interested in what classes people would like to see. I love taking Card Making classes, and my favorite classes teach me new techniques. I’m not always interested in creating the “Sample” (finished projects class) – I’m always interested in learning new skills.
